Here’s the first ever update on my Jazz Guide List. It’s starting on a nice round number.
I’ve spent around a year (I can’t remember exactly when I started) and listened to 200 albums from this book. I wasn’t sure whether I should make this post when I’d done 201/1001 but I didn’t.
My list is split into decade categories in the same way that the book is. If I’d have had the foresight to see that I would be putting it into a blog, I would have probably taken the time to rate each album, but it’s a bit late to start that now.
The book is doing OK but some of the contents pages have come loose so I just have to keep poking them back in.
I bought a double-ended Sharpie and started filling in my tally with the thin end, then I lost it so just started using a normal sharpie. If the varying thickness of pen strokes irks you as much as it does me, I apologise.
